My cotten & down blankets keep removing bundled in their duvet covers. What's a most appropriate approach to secure them?

My cotten & down blankets keep removing bundled in their duvet covers (I do not meant when we rinse them, only during normal operate when sleeping, etc). What’s the most appropriate approach to secure them? My mother used to operate the diaper pin during the corners, though those have been nauseous as well as dangerous. Is there the improved way?
