what is a scold approach to paint lavatory cabinets?

we have been remodeling a bathroom. The countertop is shot though a cabinets have been still in good shape. They have been not plain wood…they have been timber faced. They have been embellished once already though we do not similar to a color. we am endangered about portrayal it as we do not wish a paint to blemish or thinly slice off. Any suggestions as to how to assure this will not happen.
